Tour description

Experience the heart and flavour of country New South Wales on this delightful four-day escape to the Young Cherry Festival, where orchards burst with summer fruit and the town comes alive with festival charm. Known as Australia’s cherry capital, Young blends rich agriculture with a proud gold-rush heritage, charming streetscapes and warm hospitality. As the festival unfolds, visitors can enjoy fresh cherries straight from the orchard, explore artisan stalls, and soak up the friendly country atmosphere. With 4-star accommodation at the Young Federation Motor Inn and hearty breakfasts and dinners included, this relaxed getaway offers comfort, community and a true taste of regional life.

Across four days, we explore the best of the region—from the famous “Bill the Bastard” sculpture in Harden to Cootamundra’s Captains Walk and the peaceful Lambing Flat Tribute Gardens. Tasting experiences abound, with stops at Poppas Fudge Factory, the Junee Licorice & Chocolate Factory, and a picnic lunch and wine tasting at Grove Estate. Scenic touring continues through the National Trust village of Carcoar, the award-winning Cowra Japanese Gardens, and the POW Theatre and Olympic Park Rose Garden. With Bathurst and the Blue Mountains rounding out the journey, this tour offers a wonderfully balanced mix of food, history, scenery and festival fun.

Testimonials

Blessed with marvelous weather, all enjoyed the tour tremendously. I’d like to thank Sean, he was well liked by all, drove carefully and chatted happily. He had interesting facts to share. Love to have him as our driver again in the future.

Regards, Alison

Thank you for all the arranging that goes behind the International Airport tour that we did yesterday. Everything moved very smoothly from one event to the next, and Peter, our driver, was excellent. He added so much extra value and kept us on schedule. I think you’ll find some of those attending will be in touch in the future about other tours you offer!
